We thoughtfully create sensational designs that evoke movements inspired by nature with a soft hint to the wild.

We are committed to the environment.

Sustainability is of the upmost importance to us.

We strive to be eco-conscious in all of the work we do. We recognize that floristry and the event industry produces a substantial amount of waste. We are committed to doing our part by reducing our impact on the environment in the studio and at your event. Wild Thyme has made the conscious choice to not create with faux flowers (unless for special circumstances). We prefer designing with real and dried flowers, greenery and foliage that are natural to Earth so we can compost our green waste. When in season some of our flowers are locally sourced, organically grown (in our garden) or responsibly foraged. Our vessels, vases and décor are oftentimes thrifted. We have replaced floral foam with chicken wire, flower frogs and eco floral wraps. All of our ribbon is made from recycled materials or natural textiles that are dyed with natural pigments.

All Are Welcome!

At Wild Thyme we believe love is intrinsic to the human experience and we are dedicated to creating an environment that embraces diversity and is inclusive to all.

OUR GARDEN

Our love for flowers and foliage is endless. We enjoy growing, nurturing and harvesting blooms that we can incorporate seasonally into our designs during spring, summer and fall.

Every December, we start planning our flower garden, in January we order our seeds and at the end of May we plant them. Each year we try new varieties of flowers and foliages. Some of our current favorites are Amaranthus, Bachelor’s Buttons, Celosia, Cosmos, Dahlias, Phlox, Strawflowers, Zinnias, Ornamental grasses and so much more! We grow our flowers with intention - everything is grown simply and organically without the use of pesticides. We love knowing our pollinators are in a safe place when they visit our flower garden.

About Taylor..

Welcome! I am so glad you are here.

My name is Taylor Nies and I am the founder and floral artist at Wild Thyme. I have always been inspired by flowers because they radiate resiliency and perseverance. Even in the wildest places they are deeply rooted, growing strong and beautiful. Flowers have been a huge part of my life since childhood. Some of my most treasured memories are spending time in the flower garden with my Mother and Grandmothers.

Born in Northern Minnesota, I have grown up loving Earth. I spent summers at the lake, exploring the forest, picking rocks, shells and flowers to create with. I have always used creativity to express myself, which is why I started Wild Thyme!

Creating with flowers brings joy to my life and I am passionate about creating beauty for others to enjoy. Whether you are planning a wedding or event, one of my favorite moments is creating flowers for you.

Education

I studied at Central Lakes College and obtained a Floral Design Degree in 2016 and in 2020 I graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Stout and received a Bachelor of Science in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management. I have been in the event planning and floral industry for over 7 years and have assisted in the coordination of over 45 corporate events including 8 elite non-profit galas hosting nearly 2,000 guests.
